Drinkaware appoints new trustees

UK: Alcohol awareness charity Drinkaware has appointed three new trustees to its board.

Mark Hunter, Ted Tuppen CBE and Helen Humpreys will join the board, which comprises an equal number of trustees from the alcohol industry and from the medical/public health community, with a further three independent trustees.

Mark Hunter is CEO of Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) .  He has previously worked for Molson in Canada, Bulmers Drinks and Bass Brewers Ltd in a marketing capacity.  He is also vice chairman and a board director of the BBPA (British Beer and Pub Association), a member of the Portman Group Council and president of the ISBA (Incorporated Society of British Advertisers).

Ted Tuppen CBE is chief executive of Enterprise Inns, operator of 7,100 leased and tenanted pubs in the UK.  Tuppen is vice president and former chairman of the BBPA and in 2006 was awarded a CBE for his contribution to the hospitality industry.

Helen Humpreys is the founder of Acorn Communication Consultancy.
