Drinkaware has appointed Dr Fiona Sim as chief medical advisor to chair its independent medical advisory panel and monitor the charity’s medical evidence.

Some young people are drinking to help them cope with problems, according to latest Drinkaware research. 

Approximately 3.4 million middle aged people who drink regularly are going to have health problems, according to an alcohol education charity.

UK: Children of parents who drink above the Government’s unit guidelines are more likely to have been drunk than children of parents who drink less, according to Drinkaware.

UK alcohol charity Drinkaware has appointed Elaine Hindal as its new chief executive. She succeeds Chris Sorek, who returned to the US earlier in the year. Hindal is to take up the post in January 2013.
