Beam extends leadership roles

02 December, 2010

Beam Global Spirits & Wine has announced expanded leadership roles for executives Bill Newlands, Phil Baldock and Bob Probst.

From January 1, 2011, Bill Newlands will serve as president of North America, including Beam Global’s business in the US, Canada and Mexico. Newlands has served as president of Beam Global’s US business since January 2008 and prior to that served as president for Beam Wine Estates since 1995.

Phil Baldock, currently managing director Asia-Pacific, will now serve as president of Beam Global’s Asia-Pacific/South America Region. This region encompasses Australia, New Zealand, Asia (including India) and South America (including Brazil). Baldock has led the company’s business in Australia since 1999.

In addition to this simplified global leadership structure, the company will be creating one global finance and IT community under senior vice president, chief financial officer Bob Probst to ensure Beam’s business information and processes are fully aligned with the company’s business growth priorities. This integrated group will ensure seamless system, technology and process integration and business transformation. Probst has served as Beam Global’s CFO since September 2008.

“Bill, Phil and Bob are all proven leaders in our organisation,” said Matthew Shattock, Beam Global Spirits & Wine president & CEO.  “As they take on these expanded responsibilities, I am confident their exceptional leadership will continue to drive growth in these important markets and areas of our business.”
