Codorníu makes new appointments

UK: Grupo Codorníu has made four appointments. Carolyn d’Aguilar and Susannah Bearne move internally to roles in the marketing department while Jake Crimmin and Tom Barton join the UK sales team.

Crimmin, previously head sommelier at Gaucho, is taking on the newly created role of London on-trade and prestige manager and Barton, formerly regional sales manager at Berkmann Wine Cellars, becomes regional sales manager South East.

Carolyn d’Aguilar has been appointed Codorníu brand manager after four years with the company as wines brand Her new role also encompasses corporate communications for Grupo Codorníu and overall management of the company’s marketing department.

Susannah Bearne moves from the sales team, where she was regional sales manager for London and the South East, to the marketing department to become the new wines brand manager.

Nick Mantella, managing director of Grupo Codorníu UK & Ireland, said: “We need to continue to develop Codorníu as one of the UK’s top sparkling wine brands and to grow our wine sales within the independent sector. I am happy that we now have a strong, growing team in place to take the business forward.”
