Patrick Venning has been appointed marketing director – spirits. Venning has more than 20 years’ marketing experience and seven years within Pernod Ricard UK working across the full portfolio of wine and spirits brands in head of marketing roles.
His experience at Pernod Ricard UK has included the integration of brands following the Allied Domecq acquisition and what is seen as turnaround performances on Jameson and Malibu.
Venning replaces Vlastimil Spelda who has taken a leadership marketing position within Pernod Ricard in Paris. Venning joins the Pernod Ricard UK executive committee.
Phil Corfield is appointed to the Pernod Ricard UK executive committee as operations director.
Corfield joined Pernod in March 2011 following more than 25 years’ experience in production and supply chain roles within FMCG businesses. The last 14 years were spent working in the drinks industry in roles with HP Bulmer and Anheuser-Busch (now InBev). In his role as pperations director Corfield has responsibility for customer services, supply chain and IT.
Ian Peart has been promoted to channel director, on-trade. Peart has more than 20 years’ commercial experience in the UK drinks industry across the on- and off-trade and most recently as field sales controller for spirits, on-trade. Peart joined Pernod Ricard UK in 2006 and is seen as having been fundamental in driving the Pernod Ricard UK on-trade field sales team and growth of Absolut in the on-trade following the acquisition of Vin & Sprit.
