Chase and Mangrove go separate ways

27 January, 2012

UK spirits and liqueur agency, Mangrove, will no longer distribute Chase Distillery products.

The Herefordshire distillery's core range consists of Chase potato vodka, Naked Chase apple vodka, Marmalade vodka, Chase apple gin and Chase Liqueurs.

Will Chase, the former owner of Tyrrells crisps and founder of the Chase Distillery, said: “We have now reached the stage, where we believe we are best served by managing our UK sales directly nonetheless I would like to wish Mangrove every success for the future.

“This is an exciting development for Chase and we are all looking forward to directly engaging with our customers in the future, and sharing our plans and some exciting new distillates with them all.”

Nick Gillett, managing director of Mangrove, said: “We have nurtured the brand to its current position within the UK market and are delighted at the distribution and brand positioning that we have achieved for Chase’s very special British drinks.

“Mangrove wishes Chase Distillery all the very best going forward and we envisage that this boutique business with its true eco-spirit will continue to compete with larger distillers from across the world.”
