Four Roses bourbon launches speakeasy

08 February, 2012

Four Roses bourbon has taken over the downstairs bar at Shaker & Company, London, for the month of February.

The Four Roses ‘Hide&Speak’ speakeasy aims to take you back to the “underground drinking scene of 1920’s America”.

Cocktails include the Scofflaw - named after those who broke the restrictions of Prohibition by frequenting speakeasies – featuring Four Roses bourbon, dry vermouth, lemon juice and grenadine shaken with a couple of dashes of orange bitters; and the Prohibition Punch - a sharing drink served in a teapot made with Four Roses Small Batch bourbon shaken with lemon juice, green tea syrup, cardamom and mint. For those who want to learn more about the cocktails and bourbon, a series of masterclasses will also take place. A secret password is required to gain entry. Find the password here.
