Hooch poised for international growth

28 January, 2013

The makers of RTD brand Hooch are set to launch the product in international markets.

Global Brands relaunched the lemon-flavoured RTD in the UK in 2012 and they have confirmed they are looking to export Hooch, though they are currently unable to confirm specific markets.

Hooch Alcoholic Lemon Brew is targeted primarily at 18 to 35 year-old males and unlike its previous incarnation, the drink is now designed to be served over ice and is a "competitor for fruit beers".

Global Brands originally signed a licensing agreement with Molson Coors Brewing Company to distribute Hooch in the UK, and Global Brands’ off trade sales director, Nick Munday said: “Hooch has had a phenomenal response from both customers and consumers in its first six months back on the UK market. On average, the brand has seen monthly double digit growth, so we feel now is the right time to open Hooch up to international markets, where it already has a loyal following.”
