Goujon, 47, is a native of Bergerac and will manage the Interprofession whilst developing communication activities in France and abroad.
“We deliberately wanted someone with a ‘project leader and communicator’ profile,” said Marc Darroze, president of the BNIA.
“Because the BNIA must, as part of its strategic plan, more than ever, be a melting pot of ideas in order to boost the promotion and values of AOC Armagnac working alongside the whole BNIA team to set up production and quality projects to develop technical expertise.”
The new director spent 10 years working in communications for the Union des Oenologues de France in Paris, and more recently at the Syndicat Général des Vignerons de la Champagne in Epernay.
Goujon took office at the BNIA on 18 September.
