The Macallan new distillery: see inside

06 June, 2018

The Macallan recently unveiled its new £140m distillery in Scotland’s Speyside region, opening to the public on June 2.

The distillery, for which plans were first announced in 2012, has been producing whisky since December 2017 and was designed by the same company behind the Millennium Dome Heathrow Terminal 5.

The Macallan is owned by Edrington Group, which plans to invest £500m into the brand including the construction of the new facility.
