Cramele Recas set for record harvest

28 November, 2019

Romanian wine producer Cramele Recas has predicted a record harvest for 2019 with almost 30,000 tonnes of grapes.

The harvest will produce around 22m litres of wine and aside from the weather, the investments in the company have helped reach this landmark.

More than €4m has been invested in two new crush wineries at Odobesti in eastern Romania and Pestera by the Black Sea which have increased the quality by allowing local processing of grapes.

Around €3.5m further investments were also put into juice clarification, centrifuges, filtration, cooling, electrical supplies and a new white wine fermentation area to allow faster and higher quality processing of grapes.
