Illva Saronno splits from William Grant & Sons in UK

Premium Italian spirits company Illva Saronno, best known for producing Disaronno and Tia Maria, has announced plans to launch its own UK subsidiary, Disaronno International UK.

The announcement of the new subsidiary comes as Illva Saronno prepares to unveil a series of new innovations which it will be brought to the UK market in 2020 and 2021.

From January 2021 Disaronno International UK will be fully responsible for the distribution, sales and marketing of Illva Saronno brands in the UK.

To head up the new subsidiary Neil Jardine, currently country director, has been promoted to managing director of Disaronno International UK.

The launch of Disaronno International UK will see the mutual end of the 20-year partnership between Illva Saronno and William Grant & Sons UK as of December 2020.

Jardine said: “We’ve been in partnership with William Grant & Sons UK for more than 20 years. Our relationship is extensive and deep, and as two family run businesses we share many of the same values and principles.

“Together we have built a truly successful business in the UK, which is testament to the professionalism and dedication that the team at William Grant & Sons UK has continually shown.”
