William Grant & Sons has expanded its premium gin portfolio with the launch of Verano Gin, which is available in two flavours: Verano Watermelon and Verano Lemon.

Made by Kayleigh Johnson at the William Grant & Sons Girvan Distillery in Scotland, Verano Gin is part of a new premium gin range from the International Spirits Challenge Awards 2018 ‘Distiller of the Year’.

The gin is made with Spanish fruits and said to be inspired by the “relaxed lifestyle and colourful vibrancy of Spain”.

Ifan Jenkins, UK marketing director at William Grant & Sons, said: “Through Verano we wanted to create a premium yet accessible gin which introduce more vibrancy, informality and sociability into gin.

“We’ve been inspired by Spain and its relaxed lifestyle, colourful vibrancy and delicious fresh fruits, and are bringing this into gin.”

Verano (40% abv) is now available in more than 800 on-trade outlets across the UK and will be stocked in national supermarkets from 7 June.
