Thomas Lowndes 1826 premixed cocktail range launches

15 December, 2020

Edrington Beam Suntory has launched a range of premixed cocktails designed to bring high-quality on-trade experiences into shoppers’ homes.

The 1826 collection from the firm’s food and licensing division, Thomas Lowndes, includes an Old Fashioned, Cognac Espresso Martini, Smoky French Martini and Mint Julep.

Thomas Lowndes founded the eponymous business, which is now part of EBS, back in 1826.

Moira Jacques, general manager of Thomas Lowndes, said: “This exciting new range by 1826, associated with premium whiskies, cognacs and bourbons gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase how easily bar quality cocktails can be created in the home. We want to show customers that you can create premium, top quality drinks in the comfort of your own home.”

Spirits from the EBS portfolio were used to create the drinks. Maker’s Mark is the base spirit in the Old Fashioned, while the Cognac Espresso Martini uses Courvoisier.

Laphroaig was used for the Smoky French Martini, and Maker’s Mark features again in the Mint Julep.

The range has already secured listings at online retailers such as Master of Malt and Drink Supermarket, with an rrp of £25 for the four bottles.
