Santiago Quevedo has been appointed to the position of trade marketing manager and brand ambassador at Rémy Cointreau Travel Retail Americas (RCTRA).

RCTRA distributes The Edrington Group’s portfolio of spirits, including The Macallan, Higland Park, The Famous Grouse and Brugal rum, to airports, airlines and cruise lines in the region.

Previously, Quevedo operated in luxury markets with Procter & Gamble and also spent eight years with L’Oréal.

André de Almeida, area manager of Global Travel Retail USA, The Edrington Group said: “Santiago Quevedo has the strategic and marketing skills, as well as the regional knowledge, to ensure success in these diverse markets.”

Francois van Aal, regional director Americas, RCTRA said: “Rémy Cointreau is well versed in the complex markets of North, Central and South America and our distribution network is extensive.

“With Santiago on board we will be able to focus more intently on the opportunities which are opening up for The Edrington Group’s brands.”
