Brown Brothers appoints UK brand manager

10 June, 2011

Australian winery Brown Brothers has appointed Rachel Herrig as brand manager to “drive the brand’s development in the UK and Ireland”.

Herrig, who has experience of the Australian wine category, will be based at the PLB office in West Sussex, following the company's takeover of Brown Brothers's UK management and distribution in January.

Herrig joins Brown Brothers following three years at wine importers Erhmanns, where she held various roles, most recently business development manager.

Her responsibilities included the UK brand management of Australian wine companies Tahbilk and Ascella Pure Wines, and the Portuguese Bacalhoa.

Global export manager for Brown Brothers, Matt Turner said: “Her enthusiasm for the role, together with her experience of Australian wine and Australia's First Families of Wine, made her the perfect candidate.

“We are confident that she will bring valuable experience and expertise to the role.”
